The UFC delivered again with the “Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale” fight card, with only two fights requiring the services of the judges. Here are the results of the Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale fight card held on June 1, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV:
Martin Kampmann defeats Jake Ellenberger
Ellenberger rocked Kampmann during the first minute of their Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale encounter, but he wasn’t able to finish him off. He kept Kampmann on the ground for a majority of the first round, but he wasn’t able to get the Dane to the ground in the second round. Kampmann eventually rocked Ellenberger with a right, following up with some brutal knees to the face, forcing referee Steve Mazzagatti to stop the fight.
Mike Chiesa defeats Al Iaquinta
Chiesa went straight to work against Iaquinta, dragging him to the ground and taking his back. He eventually secured a rear-naked choke, securing his place in the UFC’s history books as the winner of the 15th season of the Ultimate Fighter.
Charles Oliveira defeats Jonathan Brookins
Oliveira immediately established who the better striker was, landing a few decent shots while stuffing a few takedowns. After escaping a guillotine attempt by Brookins in the second round, Oliveira secured a brabo choke, bringing an end to the contest.
Max Holloway defeats Pat Schilling
Holloway looked good at the Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale, displaying some pretty good takedown defense. Unable to get the fight to the ground, Schilling was forced to stand and trade. But he simply didn’t have any answers for Holloway, who methodically picked him apart. All three judges scored the fight 30-27 in favor of Holloway.
Justin Lawrence defeats John Cofer
After softening Cofer up in the first two rounds of their encounter, Lawrence sealed the deal with right high-kick, bringing the contest to an abrupt end.
Daron Cruickshank defeats Chris Tickle (unanimous decision)
Myles Jury defeats Chris Saunders (guillotine choke, round one)
Sam Sicilia defeats Cristiano Marcello (KO, round two)
Joe Proctor defeats Jeremy Larsen (TKO, round one)
Erik Perez defeats John Albert (armbar, round one)
