Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale Predictions

The “Ultimate Fighter” reality TV series will close out it first season on the Fox network with a finale event set for June 1, at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, NV. Here are my predictions for the entire Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale fight card:

Jake Ellenberger versus Martin Kampmann

Ellenberger will try to take a step closer towards the UFC’s welterweight title when he faces Kampmann at the Ultimate Fighter 15 Finale. Ellenberger is currently on a six fight winning streak, and it’s pretty hard to go against him. However, Kampmann is one of the most underrated fighters in the UFC, and his technically sound striking and solid takedown defense might prove to be too much for Ellenberger to handle. Kampmann wins via decision.

Mike Chiesa versus Al Iaquinta

Both men had their moments during the 15th season of the Ultimate Fighter, and it should lead to a very entertaining finale. Iaquinta displayed his skills during the show, but Chiesa showed a lot of heart, surviving some pretty grueling fights. I like what I’ve seen from Chiesa so far, and I expect him to emerge victorious. Chiesa wins via submission.

Max Holloway versus Pat Schilling

This is a very tough fight to call. Holloway and Schilling both got submitted in the first rounds of their last outings, and their skills are pretty evenly matched. However, Schilling has a little more experience on his side (going 6-0 in his amateur career), and that might end up being the difference maker when the two meet inside the Octagon. Schilling wins by submission.

Jonathan Brookins versus Charles Oliveira

Brookins will have another opportunity to move up the featherweight rankings when he faces Oliveira at the Ultimate Fighter 15 finale. Oliveira looked good in his featherweight debut, but I’m not sure he’ll be able to fend off a solid grappler like Jonathan. Brookins wins via decision.
