UFC Live 6 predictions

“UFC Live 6” will be headlined by a bantamweight championship fight between current champion Dominick Cruz and number one contender Demetrious Johnson. “UFC Live 6” will be held at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. on Oct. 1st. Here are my predictions for the “UFC Live 6” fight card.

Dominick Cruz versus Demetrious Johnson

Johnson was very impressive in his last appearance inside the Octagon, defeating former champion Miguel Torres at UFC 130. Johnson will have his hands full against Cruz, and his chances against the champ are pretty slim. Cruz wins by decision.

Pat Barry versus Stefan Struve

This is an interesting heavyweight matchup that will probably end early. Barry started off well in his last UFC appearance against Cheick Kongo, but ran into some problems while going in for the finish. Struve has the skills to rise to the top of the UFC’s heavyweight rankings, but his delicate chin has cost him a few MMA fights. Struve will probably dominate a majority of the striking, but Barry will eventually find his jaw. Barry wins by KO.

Anthony Johnson versus Charlie Brenneman

Brenneman gets the perfect opportunity to prove he’s for real at “UFC Live 6” against Johnson. Brenneman was very impressive in his last performance against Rick Story at “UFC Live 4,” winning the MMA fight by unanimous decision. Johnson is also coming off a win, defeating Dan Hardy at “UFC Fight Night 24.” Johnson’s explosiveness will probably be too much for Brenneman to handle. Johnson wins by TKO.

Matt Wiman versus Mac Danzig

Danzig got a raw deal in his previous encounter against Wiman, with referee Yves Lavigne wrongly stopping the MMA fight. Danzig has waited over a year to get some payback against Wiman, and he should be able to pull off the win at “UFC Live 6.”
