UFC on FX 3 Results

The “UFC on FX 3” fight card wasn’t exactly a star-studded event, but it still delivered some entertaining bouts. Here are the results of the card held on June 8, at the BankAtlantic Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.:

Demetrious Johnson defeats Ian McCall

As expected, both men put on another entertaining fight at UFC on FX 3. Johnson did a better job of defending against McCall’s takedowns this time around, and he even secured a few of his own. Johnson also got the better of the striking exchanges, walking away with the unanimous decision.

Erick Silva defeats Charlie Brenneman

Brenneman took the fight to Silva, controlling “Indio” with his wrestling. However, the Brazilian quickly made the necessary adjustments. After stuffing a takedown attempt, Silva slickly transitioned to Brenneman’s back, securing a rear-naked choke in the process.

Mike Pyle defeats Josh Neer

Both men came out swinging, and for a moment, Neer was getting the better of the exchanges. However, Neer walked into a right hook which knocked him out cold, forcing referee Chris Adams to stop the fight.

Eddie Wineland defeats Scott Jorgensen

Wineland established his punching power early on, rocking Jorgensen several times during the first round of their bout. Jorgensen put on a valiant comeback effort in the second round, opening up a nasty gash on Wineland’s forehead. Unfortunately for Jorgensen, Wineland eventually caught him with a solid cross, bringing the contest to an abrupt end.
