As expected, UFC 132 delivered a night of many entertaining MMA fights, capped by a 25 minute war between Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber. Here are the results for UFC 132, held on July 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Dominick Cruz defeats Urijah Faber
Cruz showed the MMA world how much he’s improved since his last encounter with Urijah Faber, going toe-to-toe with the “California Kid,” and successfully defending his UFC bantamweight title. Some fans were disappointed with the final decision, but the judges definitely got it right giving Cruz the unanimous decision. Given how entertaining the UFC 132 main event was, I’m sure Cruz vs. Faber III is right around the corner.
Chris Leben defeats Wanderlei Silva
Leben stepped up to the plate in the biggest fight of his MMA career, knocking out Silva in only 30 seconds.
Dennis Siver defeats Matt Wiman
After getting dominated in the first round, Wiman turned things around when he successfully took Siver to the ground in the second round and delivered some vicious ground-n-pound. Both MMA fighters had their moments in the final round, but Siver seemed a bit more in control. All three judges scored the fight for Siver, who took the unanimous decision.
Tito Ortiz defeats Ryan Bader
Tito shocked many MMA fans at UFC 132, making quick work of Bader. Tito dropped Bader with a right hook, before jumping on him and sinking in the guillotine choke.
Carlos Condit defeats Dong Hyun Kim
Condit toyed with Kim in the opening minutes of their UFC 132 fight, peppering him with strikes before launching into the air and connecting with a flying knee.
Melvin Guillard defeats Shane Roller (KO, round one)
Rafael dos Anjos defeats George Sotiropoulos (KO, round one)
