Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine will take place on Jan. 7, at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, NV. Here are my predictions for the Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine fight card:
Luke Rockhold versus Keith Jardine
Rockhold surprised many with his impressive performance against Ronaldo Souza, displaying solid striking and anti-jujitsu skills. After enduring a five fight losing streak, Jardine has turned his MMA career around, winning two straight fights and securing a draw against Gegard Mousasi. Jardine now has the golden opportunity – even though he didn’t earn the title shot – to become the Strikeforce middleweight champion in his debut at 185. Jardine is clearly the more experienced MMA fighter, and I think he’ll be a tough matchup for Rockhold. Jardine wins by TKO.
Robbie Lawler versus Adlan Amagov
Lawler is currently on a two fight losing streak, but he should be able to turn things around against Amagov. Amagov hasn’t faced the caliber of MMA fighters Lawler has, and I don’t think he’ll be able to take too many of Robbie’s punches. Lawler wins by KO.
Muhammed Lawal versus Lorenz Larkin
Larkin will probably suffer his first loss in MMA, when he faces “King Mo” at Strikeforce: Rockhold vs. Jardine. Lawal should be able to outwrestle Larkin and walk away with the decision.
Tyron Woodley versus Jordan Mein
Woodley looked good in his last performance against Paul Daley, and I expect another solid performance from the 29 year old when he faces Mein. Jordan is the more experienced MMA fighter, but Woodley should be up to the task. Woodley wins via decision.
Tarec Saffiedine versus Tyler Stinson
Stinson likes to stand and bang, and that will probably be his downfall against Saffiedine. As long as Saffiedine doesn’t get carried away, he should be able to walk away with the decision.
Undercard:
Nah-Shon Burrell defeats James Terry
Trevor Smith defeats Gian Villante
Alonzo Martinez defeats Estevan Payan
Ricky Legere Jr. defeats Christopher Spang
