Alexander Gustafsson: The UFC's next light-heavyweight champ?

Alexander Gustafsson will be rooting for Jon Jones at UFC 173, but it's for his own selfish reasons. The Swede, who became a favorite with MMA fans thanks to his impressive performance against Jones at UFC 165, wants Bones to win so he can have the honor of dethroning the man who is currently considered the pound-for-pound best fighter in mixed martial arts right now.

That is, if Jones agrees to fight Gustafsson if he successfully defends the light-heavyweight belt against Glover Teixeira at UFC 173.

As far as Alexander is concerned, Jones is doing everything possible to avoid the highly-demanded rematch.

Clearly, Gustafsson didn't appreciate Jone's comment about the Swede squaring up against Daniel Cormier before getting a second shot at the UFC's light-heavyweight title.
